YOU HAVE TO FINISH THE TOTEM!

 

Before first use, it must be ignited empty to allow the paint to harden on the Totem or Grill. Generally, we ask or recommend that we burn the Totem on a slow fire for about 1-1.5 hours, always burning 1-2 trees in the firebox. In the case of the Grill, after the first charcoal ignition, approx. Can be used in 1-1.5 hours. With this operation, we apply the paint to the cover. During training, we find that the casing smokes with a bit of white smoke and steam, the casing steams.It's not dangerous, it just smells a little unpleasant as the paint heats up. This smell can still be felt in 1-3 uses, if the Totem or Grill is only used for a short time in occasional use. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

IGNITION


A little help igniting the Totem!

It is very easy to ignite, the Totem is ready to use in 1.5 minutes! First, put out the Totem where you want to cook or bake. Then remove the cross, then lift out the ashtray grid and place it on top of the Totem. Ignite the igniter cube, place it on the grid, and then put it back in place with the ashtray.


If the grid is in place, you can see from the ear that the ignition cube is burning. At the beginning, throw in 2-3 pieces of split wood from above. When you are done, put the grid back on and throw 1-2 trees on it from the side feed opening. After that you can go to the cauldron and start cooking!

This is how the MOZAIK Totem works after ignition

I'll show you that if the MOZAIK Totem hasn't reached operating temperature yet, then how do you do it to almost smoke. It is advisable to leave as many gaps as possible due to the air flow, so that the air flowing in from below blows almost all the way through the Totem and there is no swirling cold smoke left in it. You can achieve this by pulling out the embers at the bottom to about 5-8cm and opening the wooden door. Try it for yourself, buy the first MOZAIK Totem from us! Thank you for purchasing our carefully manufactured MOZAIK Totem Garden Cooking Oven product. We wish you a pleasant stay and cooking delicious food, but read this leaflet carefully beforehand.

The first time you use it, it is worth igniting the Totem or Grill without cooking, because to avoid corrosion, we have also painted our products in places where there is a fire. Painting is heat resistant, not fire resistant!

Startup:
Before commissioning or use, make sure that you cannot tip over while using the appliance.
carefully check that the appliance is on its feet and that they are not damaged.

The device consists of 4 main elements:

Totem test,
Cooker, oven holder cross (place the dishes here)
Charcoal grill, located in the firebox,
Ashtray drawer.

Instructions:
The commissioning of the Totem consists of 9 steps (watch a short video on the website: www.mozaikelmeny.hu):
Place the Totem on the cooking spot, being careful not to tip over,
Take off the cooker, oven cross,
lift the embers grate out of the firebox,
Place the ignition cube or the material needed for ignition on the grille,
ignite the ignition cube placed on the grid,
replace the combustion grille in the combustion chamber by means of a lug designed for this purpose,
From above, the pieces of wood crushed to the front are thrown into the ignited cube, the combustion chamber,
After lighting, place the cooking oven cross on it,
the fire is then fed through a feed opening placed on its side.
After cooking, wait for the totem to cool, then clean it out and store it in storage.

Safety warnings:
MOZAIK Totem, during use, heats up due to burns and can cause burns as a result, it is very important that it is used as intended!
Use the device only with wood!
Keep fire and explosive materials away during use!
Do not use indoors!
